Quotable Quote
“If the present tries to sit in judgment on the past, it will lose the future.”
-Winston Churchill
From The Second World War, Book II, page 10
When Neville Chamberlain resigned as Prime Minister of England and Churchill took his place, there was quite a purge of administrators deemed culpable for the poor war preparation during the 30’s. But, after this purge many people were still out for blood. With the German army advancing and a new government in the midst of being formed, Churchill quelled the calls for mass resignation in order to continue forward. This is exactly what Senator Obama was speaking about in his speech on race, in response to the Rev. Wright controversy.
