Craigslist find – 83′ Raleigh Grand Prix

I’ve been scouring ebay for weeks looking for a vintage road bike on a budget. After numerous close calls I gave up and succumbed to the Siren songs of Craigslist. I found this Raleigh that is in really good condition. It was all the way in Stone Mountain (130 miles away) but was well worth it, and the trip was nice. Good components – Dia-Compe brakes, Suntour front & rear derailleurs, Araya alloy wheels. I took it to my LBS this afternoon for a tune-up. Once I get it back, I want to replace the hoods and scrap the foam on the handlebars for proper bar tape.
